Save Water (part of caring for nature)
HI Hive Lovers
Many things can be done to save nature. One of them is the awareness to use water only as needed.
But behind that awareness, of course, there are often people who just throw water away without thinking about how the process, drop by drop, reaches their hands.
In other parts of the world, many people even have to struggle just to get drinking water. Are we the ones who can get water easily, then have to spend extravagantly and use water as we please?
I found a piece of valuable information in the form of "a small effort" as an effort to save the environment by saving water carried out by Wiltop Hotel where I stayed in Jambi City.
In the bathroom of the hotel hangs a small info tag with an inscription that contains an invitation to use hotel bath towels properly.
Usually hotel guests are really spoiled by only using their bath towels once and immediately asking for new, clean bath towels. In contrast to their habit of using bath towels at home, people generally use them repeatedly with cleanliness and washing in mind.
In a roundabout way, the invitation to use proper towels becomes an effort to raise awareness and save the environment.
"Save the environment! Every day, millions of gallons of water are used to wash towels that have been used only once." A small invitation to build awareness is very touching.
When reporting check-out from the hotel, I briefly thanked the hotel management for the information tag they had hung in the bathroom. But not all hotel management does that, right?
This is related to the use of water used to wash bath towels that have been used by hotel guests. You can certainly imagine how much water is used to wash it and how much water is contaminated with the detergent used during the washing process.
Water that has been used or contaminated with detergent certainly requires time and a process to become clean water again, and it also definitely requires energy for that long process. not to mention if you have to examine the damage caused by the chemical content contained in detergents, which can cause environmental damage.
Awareness of using water only as necessary should be our common awareness. If one person can save one liter of water, then 8 billion people in the world can save 8 billion liters of water. a very extraordinary number.
Every drop of water that reaches your sink requires energy, which should also be a savings and will ultimately save our environment.
(Thank you for saving the earth)
