After two years of negotiations, the US 🇺🇸 is now returning $6 billion back to Iran, and releasing various Iranian prisoners in the US in return for 5 American prisoners accused of espionage in Tehran 🇮🇷.

$6 billion for 5 American citizens (average $1.2 billion each). How much is your country willing to pay to get you back?

Why would a superpower like the US will be forced to reach a settlement with Iran 🇮🇷, a country that has been under western sanctions since 1979 (45 years)?

We live in a world of realities:

The reality that responsible government are obliged to protect their citizens no matter how much it costs, otherwise they lose legitimacy;
A powerful & freely elected government forces all its enemies to respect it.

After 45 years of western sanctions and proxy wars, Iran 🇮🇷 has a GDP PPP of 1.7 trillion and an average GDP Income per capita PPP of $16,000!

The Iranian didn’t cry “conspiracy theory”. They just worked hard under the leadership of elected governments. Iran today is food self sufficient, they locally produce more that 1.6 million cars (more than continental Africa combined 😞).

If Iran 🇮🇷 was located in Africa, it would have been the largest African economy and had the 6th highest average income per capita (after much smaller nations like Seychelles 🇸🇨).

Take into consideration that Iran’s oil wealth is still not utilized due to the Western embargo.
