Back Into Stacking "Better Money"...
I have never owned a whole Bitcoin, I don't even think I will ever own one... I was in the position, a few years ago of buying myself a few of them, but at that time "confidence wasn't strong enough" and from there on I kind of became an altcoins guy.
As a matter of fact, I'm 99.99% in alts, but I had a post today and a comment to that post coming from @toofasteddie that got me thinking. As a matter of fact, Eddie wrapped a whole post around the idea shared through his comment of stacking sats for the future as a "better money"...
And that triggered me... Despite being low on funds right now I couldn't resist the temptation of buying myself some sats. It's just $26 worth of Bitcoin, but it's better than nothing. Same as with the HBD savings account, I'm planning on adding a bit more, once in a while, to such accounts and stacking both HBD and BTC for the future.
If you read my blog for a while you already know by now that I don't trust the government, law enforcers, banks, and almost anything that is labeled as "official" at all, thus crypto makes so much sense to me... It really does.
This thing has basically covered my needs for about two years or so and my hopes are that once we get out of the bear market I will continue to be able to live entirely off my crypto earnings again.
This tiny amount of BTC and the next future sats that shall be bought down the way is not to be sold, at least not in the near future. I don't know if I will be able to create myself a sort of a pension fund from stacking sats(HBD fits this one better), but at least I can create a sort of BTC savings account that is out of the reach of any bank and government.
I bought the sats through Binance but won't store them on Binance forever. Once I get to a few hundred bucks worth of BTC I'm going to send them to a noncustodial wallet and there will be more sats added to the wallet. It's just that for now, it's not worth paying the withdrawal fees for such a tiny amount.
The money used to buy these 156,000 sats came from staking EGLD for a couple of weeks or so and I will dump more of such rewards into Bitcoin in the future.
I have made so many bad moves in crypto over time, it's futile to once again go through such memories, but I still haven't lost faith in the industry and what it stands for. I said I want to do this for my entire life and that's what I'm doing...
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

Great. I wish I did that many years ago.
Buying Sat is a good move, accumulating right now is best.
I'd bet big on HBD 20% is a stratospheric rate of return. I'm accumulating them together with the HP, in my opinion a winning combination!

The ugly truth is that bitcoin has outperformed almost every other crypto out there. And I believe it'll continue to do so. Have sold every single alt (except for some HIVE) for Bitcoin.
People still think Bitcoin is "old tech". Yet it's constantly evolving at a rapid speed. There's the growing lightning network, and I just heard about Taro which is a protocol proposal, now on a test phase, which allows custom assets like stablecoins and NFTs on bitcoin. All that jazz that other chains have, but on a robust and actually decentralized protocol.
It's the first time I hear about Taro.
Bitcoin is indeed the OG of crypto. I also own a few sats and will buy more when I get enough funds. For me the most important part of owning bitcoin is being part of the legacy
Hi @acesontop
In case you want to put links on your article for terms that are not usually familiar to people outside Hive, here is the Hive Glossary
As for Bitcoin, I still don't see it useful. at least in my circle.
I'd rather stack on HIVE and HBD

Good call to complement your sats with hbd.
Slow drip and this is consistency right there.
2023 could be the year you make all the right move.
