I've not looked into Polygon, but I know Hive lacks some features. Fans want to buy stuff from artists, so they need options.

Polygon is quickly becoming the biggest Ethereum alternative, actually it is a second layer that uses ETH as its security layer. Super cheap gas fees and we can utilize the smart contracts to do some cool stuff.

@steevc @blocktunes I've been building up some Polygon recently, using MetaMask and sold a music NFT via highlight.xyz and paragraph.xyz - I can always link those into my Hive posts. However decided NFT.storage does the job nicely and I'll look into writing some code to mint those assets on the MATIC chain.

We have a Polygon NFT marketplace already built into our platform. It’s apart of the BlockTunes Pro account.

I thought you did and I’ve accumulated a massive amount of music tokens recently. I’ll check out the pro account.

Thanks for the heads up!

The MUSIC token is only for the Hive collections though... We don't have a Polygon version of the token itself, that's an expensive one to do. The contracts currently accept USDC on Polygon for the payment tokens. We are on the other hand coming up with another use case for the MUSIC token that we are hoping will give it some more utility within our little ecosystem.

And... you sparked another idea for another use case for the token... But at current prices, it would take a lot of MUSIC tokens, lol. Hopefully we can increase the value of it at some point.
