Um novo projeto de lei foi votado hoje para regular o Bitcoin no Brasil!

Nessa terça feira foi votado em Brasília, projeto de lei que reguladora do uso do Bitcoin como pagamento. As novas regras que reconhecem o Bitcoin como uma representação de valor digital que pode ser usado como meio de pagamento e também como forma de investimento no país. Ainda, essa lei visa regular a operação de Exchanges, fazendo-as operarem de acordo com as regras brasileiras.

Agora só está faltando a assinatura do Presidente da República para que se torne uma lei.

Ainda não está definido quem vai ficar responsável por fiscalizar esse mercado, mas é esperado que o Banco Central do Brasil seja escolhido pelo executivo para realizar a tarefa de administrar os pagamentos, enquanto a CVM seja responsável por observar o uso do Bitcoin como investimento.

A new bill was voted on today to regulate Bitcoin in Brazil!

This Tuesday, Brasilia voted on a bill that regulates the use of Bitcoin as a payment. The new rules that recognize Bitcoin as a representation of digital value that can be used as a means of payment and also as a form of investment in the country. Also, this law aims to regulate the operation of Exchanges, making them operate in accordance with Brazilian rules.

Now it just needs the signature of the President of the Republic for it to become a law.

It is not yet defined who will be responsible for overseeing this market, but it is expected that the Central Bank of Brazil will be chosen by the executive to carry out the task of managing payments, while the CVM will be responsible for observing the use of Bitcoin as an investment.
