Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB what 2023 has in store

With the final hours of 2022 now upon us the world begins it's celebration of ending the year that was and celebrating the new opportunities in the year to come. Despite many peoples mixed feelings on 2022 it brought us closer to a more secure and scalable digitalized, decentralized world with many centralized attempts of taking hold of the sector crumbling. Further indicating that Decentralized Finance (De-Fi) is just that, Decentralized.

Although there has been a enormous reshuffle of the top 10 crypto currencies the household favorites Bitcoin and Ethereum continue to retain spots 1 and 2. This past year brought many news stories of "Ethereum Killers" but none delivered and all succumbed to the same centralized problems.

Stable Coins

2022 also saw a number of stable coins enter the race none more infamously known as Luna's UST which promised to be a pegged algorithmic stable coin and as well all know the story, fell in a firey death spiral claiming billions and wiping away everyone's savings.

While the occurrences were severely damaging for many it wasn't the only stable coin to fail and although USDC and Tether have had their issues over the past 12 months they have maintained their position as well as BUSD as some of the most secure Stable coins on the current market.

But the stable coin sector is up for challenge by the big banks as we already heard that the Australia New Zealand Bank has currently developed their own stable coin on Ethereum, pegged to the AUD. This no doubt will grow with more international banks launching their own over the next period. If they haven't already developed their own by now.

The New Top 10, or is it?

There's a new top 10 at play with tokens like Solana and Atom completely removed from the top 10 and we can see XRP regain it's position as well as Polygon and if we remove the 3 Stable coins Dai, Tron and Polkadot regain their top 10 positions.

For those following along since pre 2022 this line up is looking like it did in 2021 pre the boom and we even have Litecoin in position 11. There was a slight rally for Solana a few hours ago as the chain which is better known for having the most issues still continues to survive.

I wouldn't be counting Atom or it's Cosmos IBC network out too soon as it is best placed to rise again in 2023 if retail investors are willing to take a risk. It is the only chain the come close to solving many of the transaction issues faced on both Bitcoin and Ethereum. But does it have the broader support? 2023 will let us know.

What's over the hill?

Despite a monumental rise and fall of Crypto there is still little known about how 2023 will react there are some knowns such as more private brokers offering Bitcoin to investors which will see continued investment in the digital token. More interest from big corps to utilise the Ethereum Network so we can guess these two tokens will continue to be sought after.

Despite Binance being relatively secure it's use cases outside of Exchange are not known and it's pivot further into the sector will need to be better planned but if it manages to do so we can see the Binance token being worth a pretty penny.

Of course we can't ignore our very own chain Hive and Leo Finance which continues to live on and grow in users although it's price point is highly impacted by Bitcoin. This also gives us a better foresight and now data on how much we can expect Hive to be valued at should Bitcoin go on another run.

So for all those who are worried about not being able to get involved in Bitcoin, Getting access to Hive is the same thing.
