Elizabeth Warren; crypto will be regulated as securities

The long deliberation on how to categorize crypto assets as either security or commodity in the United States has been a prolonged debate for quite some time now, Bitcoin (BTC) the first decentralized digital asset is yet to be officially categorized as either an asset or commodity in the world, Ethereum was classified under commodity, by Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) chief Rostin Behnam which he later backtracks his view on Etherum being a commodity, we also saw how Bitcoin maximalist Michael Saylor has been on the frontline clamoring for btc to be considered a registered security asset while other digital assets should be thrown into the garbage.

The heat is getting pretty intense for the crypto space, especially in the aspect of categorizing what should be considered security we also saw Biden's executive order which was meant to look into crypto regulation seems for now having a good atmosphere for flexible crypto regulations is the only way to increase crypto adoption.

Most cryptocurrencies are likely to be regulated as securities in the United States, according to the CEO of Intercontinental Exchange Inc (ICE), Jeffrey Sprecher and Senator Elizabeth Warren.

Jeffrey Sprecher further points out the need for all crypto to be dealt with like security as it will increase consumer protection and regulate centralized exchanges, the recent FTX billion dollars wipe out of the market should be a good lesson for regulators to see the need why such regulating cryptocurrencies should be a matter of concern.

Cointelegraph report also shows Elizabeth Warren has been working on a bill that will help SEC chairman Gary Gensler
to oversee crypto regulations are followed, some of the issues to be covered on the bill which will be imposed on crypto include taxation, regulation, national security, and climate.

There is little information disclosed about Warran's bill, although it's a clear sign showing more regulatory policies will be imposed on crypto shortly if they will be accepted as security assets and as a legal medium for making exchange for users.
