December 2022 recap - Slightly down
Again a month (and year) has passed. Let me show you how my portfolio did.
Market update
December was a month of not a lot of action, just a continuing slight downtrend. The total market cap of cryptocurrencies went down from 860 bn to 820 bn. Bitcoin dominance was up from 38.2% to 39.6%.
Looking at the prices of the individual currencies, Bitcoin went down from $17,075 to $16,860 this month. The price of Ethereum went down too, from $1,275 to $1,250.
Current Portfolio
Again I didn't invest more money in Bitcoin and Ethereum. My overall portfolio value is now about €200 lower than one month ago. My portfolio shifted a bit towards fiat. My personal BTC "dominance" is up a bit from 37,3% to 37.4%.
In total I have invested €2,600 in Ethereum and Bitcoin, so I'm still at a €7,200 overall profit.
I managed to steadily increase my Hive Power holdings from 7,923 to 8,087 HP. The highest amount ever.
Yearly result
Looking back a year from now, the result is rather dramatic. I went from €24,150 to €9,800, a loss of 59.4%. It could have been much worse though, so I count my blessings...
Will 2023 be a better year in the crypto world? Or are we going to repeat the disappointing 2022? We'll find out in the coming recaps.

It is only a loss when we do convert it into fiat! Still a healthy portfolio and far better returns than a bank would/could give you.
You're absolutely right. I'm/we're in here for the long run and will either end with a huge gain or nothing at all.
Cheers!
