My son asked “the question”
Hi friends,
Well, my son asked “the question” today. No, not about sex…. the question was:
Dad, what’s a bitcoin?
Being a crypto expert, I proceeded to stammer and stutter… “well, it’s a…a..a…”
Kinda hard to explain! I settled on, a sort of electronic currency you can buy as an investment.
I guess he heard it mentioned in a Dude Perfect video, ha!
I didn’t get into, how it is mined, use as a store of value, hot and cold storage, blockchain technology, satoshi, altcoins, etc. I did tell him that one day, he can inherit my bitcoins, but I didn’t mention that I would have to give him my private keys first, otherwise they will be lost forever, lol.
Guess I knew this day was coming!

Congratulations on this milestone! It seems that your son's getting into it at quite an early age. ☺️
Make sure he learns how to use it and uses proper protection (cold wallets 😉). It's never too early to learn about finances, but make sure that he understands the very basics before he gets into cryptocurrencies. Without the foundation of knowledge, everything else built on top can easily collapse. He'll be off to a wonderful start to secure his financial future.
It also brings me hope knowing that the younger generation is being accustomed to having Bitcoin as such an inherent part of their lives - it's the young ones who will bring great adoption over time.

That which you told him about Bitcoin has key into him some point, it is a good thing he has a Dad who has idea about things he has interest for.
I think it would be difficult to explain him a cryptocurrency. Perhaps, it might be easier to give samples from HIVE as they already know and use social media.
You son is so intelligent to ask this question because Future What is Bitcoin and Digital Currency If we tell our children about it and give all the details it will be great for their upcoming feature. The first role of crypto is that you have not managed your case.
